This privacy policy explains how MentAd makes use of data and information provided by users. If not specifically defined herein, capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in the MentAd Terms and Conditions, which is available at http://www.mentad.com/terms.
MentAd respects your right to privacy. Your ability to make informed choices about the use of your information is important to us. This privacy statement explains MentAd's policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure and protection of Personal Information.
MentAd provides an internet-based application for users to refer and recommend products and services to their friends. To participate in a promotion, you must provide MentAd with certain personal information, such as your name and email address. It is your voluntary decision whether to provide MentAd with any personal information, but if you refuse to provide such information you may not have access to all functionality of the Application. If you use the MentAd application by logging in through "Facebook Connect" or another Social Network, MentAd may also receive additional personal information about you which is provided by such Social Network. In addition, through your use of the Application you may provide us with personal information of third parties, such as the names and email addresses of your friends, acquaintances and family members. Generally, in this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means any information that can be directly associated with a specific person or entity such as a name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, or information about activities directly linked to such person. MentAd does not knowingly collect, have any access to, or save a user's credit card number or other payment information.
We will not share Personal Information provided to us with third parties or other MentAd users without your explicit permission, except when required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order. We may use Personal Information internally - for example, to help diagnose problems with our servers, or to improve the Application and make MentAd more useful. We will retain Personal Information regarding you for as long as your account is active or is necessary for us to provide services through the Application.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. MentAd uses a secured protocol to transfer information between any third party website and its own. This protocol uses authentication certificates authorized by generally accepted independent Certificate Authorities (CAs). MentAd's servers are protected by firewalls and use intrusion detection systems.
